More ROC Game Fest in the News!
A few local news teams were also in attendance at the ROC Game Fest, and you can read all about Rochester’s first-ever game convention at News 10 NBC and RochesterFirst.com (News 8 WROC).
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Irondequoit Public Library on Saturday, September 30, and took part in the first-ever Made In Rochester Game Festival. We’re thrilled that more than 500 attendees got the chance to play 30 different games created right here in Rochester.
We also want to thank the chefs from Le Petit Poutine, who served lunch to festivalgoers, and also to the game developers from throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Canada who made the trip to support the local game development community. And a very special thanks to the entire Sodus Gaming Club, who chartered a bus to attend this year’s Made In Rochester Game Festival.
After seeing the crowds and hearing their reaction to the 2017 ROC Game Fest, we’ve already begun planning an encore event for 2018. Check back in the coming months for more details.
But in the meantime, continue to visit ROCGameFest.com every week to stay updated on all the games being developed in the Rochester area. We’re not going anywhere.
Are you ready? The Made In Rochester Game Festival is happening TODAY at the Irondequoit Public Library from Noon to 5:00 PM. And don’t forget, admission is FREE.
You’ll be able to try out dozens of video games and tabletop games developed in the Rochester area by students, enthusiasts/hobbyists, and professional game developers. The Le Petit Poutine food truck will also roll into the parking lot to serve up lunch from Noon to 4:00 PM.
Thanks to the Irondequoit Public Library for sponsoring the first-ever ROC Game Fest, and thanks to RIT’s MAGIC Center for all their assistance.
The time has come! The 2017 Made In Rochester Game Festival is less than a week away!
More than 20 local developers will exhibit over two dozen games at the Irondequoit Public Library on September 30 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Grab lunch from the Le Petite Poutine food truck and explore the rest of the library for more gaming surprises (including a vintage Space Invaders cabinet in the Teen Room).
