ROC Game Dev Showcase Party Will Take Over The Bug Jar on Jan. 27, 2018

The dedicated organizers of ROC Game Dev, a local meetup group for aspiring game developers, demoed some great games at the Made In Rochester Game Festival last month. But the group also just announced plans to host their first ROC Game Dev Showcase Party at The Bug Jar on January 27, 2018.

The ROC Game Dev Showcase Party promises to be a great night of local games and chiptunes, so be sure to follow ROC Game Dev on Twitter for more details about this upcoming event.

Thanks to Everyone Who Attended the 2017 Made In Rochester Game Festival

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Irondequoit Public Library on Saturday, September 30, and took part in the first-ever Made In Rochester Game Festival. We’re thrilled that more than 500 attendees got the chance to play 30 different games created right here in Rochester.

We also want to thank the chefs from Le Petit Poutine, who served lunch to festivalgoers, and also to the game developers from throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Canada who made the trip to support the local game development community. And a very special thanks to the entire Sodus Gaming Club, who chartered a bus to attend this year’s Made In Rochester Game Festival.

After seeing the crowds and hearing their reaction to the 2017 ROC Game Fest, we’ve already begun planning an encore event for 2018. Check back in the coming months for more details.

But in the meantime, continue to visit ROCGameFest.com every week to stay updated on all the games being developed in the Rochester area. We’re not going anywhere.
